Who we are

About Our Cattery – Ethical Peterbald Breeding in North Carolina

With over a decade of veterinary technician experience in North Carolina, I bring an in-depth, hands-on understanding of feline health, behavior, and wellbeing to every aspect of Piedmont Peterbalds. My journey began in clinical veterinary settings, where I developed a strong foundation in preventive care, gentle handling, and early health issue detection. Today, that knowledge is the cornerstone of our cattery, ensuring each Peterbald kitten is raised with the highest standards of health and care from day one.

For the past ten years, I’ve focused specifically on the rare and elegant Peterbald cat breed. Known for their affectionate personalities, refined beauty, and unique coat variations — from completely hairless to soft peach fuzz — Peterbalds are among the most uncommon cat breeds in the world, with very few ethical breeders located in the United States, and even fewer in North Carolina. Their rare status and exceptional temperament are exactly what drew me in.

At Piedmont Peterbalds, we specialize in ethical Peterbald breeding with an emphasis on health, temperament, and early socialization. Our program is designed to preserve and promote this rare breed through responsible breeding practices and a deep respect for their individual needs. Every decision we make — from selecting parent cats to raising each kitten in a loving home environment — is driven by our commitment to the breed’s future.

Our mission is to raise well-socialized, healthy, and confident Peterbald kittens for sale in North Carolina and beyond. Combining my veterinary background with years of breed-specific experience, I provide a level of care and insight that ensures every kitten leaves our home prepared for a lifetime of companionship.

There’s something truly magical about Peterbalds. Maybe it’s their sleek, graceful build or the way they move through the world with a quiet, intelligent presence. Often called “velcro cats,” Peterbalds thrive on human interaction and love being involved in every part of your day. They’re not just pets — they’re shadow-like companions who bond deeply, chirp gently, and cuddle close under the covers. For those seeking a cat with dog-like devotion and endless curiosity, the Peterbald is unmatched.

I chose to breed Peterbalds in North Carolina because I believe this breed deserves greater visibility, recognition, and protection. After working with animals for over a decade, the Peterbald stood out as a truly remarkable cat — both emotionally intelligent and physically unique. Piedmont Peterbalds exists to share this joy with others while protecting the legacy of a breed too rare to ignore.
